Join artist and jazz singer Sarah Fenwick on Tuesday, November 23rd, for ‘Contrasts / Antithesis’, an art talk and exhibition opening at Sarah’s Jazz Club mini gallery.

In this series of paintings, Sarah Fenwick explores how we balance our lives between different extremes. She is curious about art’s role in finding the peaceful centre where our spirits live, observing the fleeting moments that make up our life experiences.

Ancient versus new. Something versus nothing. Green versus red. Abstract versus representational. Identity versus anonymity. Privacy versus sharing. Real versus imaginary. Pain versus joy. One-dimensional versus three-dimensional.

When a contrast in art catches our eye and we become entranced, we have just experienced the present moment.
