Take a moment with yourself. This was the theme of the famous song by Otis Redding titled Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay.
My painting combines the feeling of reflecting with the medium of painting.
It's a meditative piece in acrylics on canvas board.
I used a diluted indigo blue to create the sense of dusk falling and holding the viewer.
The painting is intuitive and was done quickly with a flat brush to form the shapes which are nearly fused with the background.
